My Whim

My Whim the other day (see Torch Kung-Fu) was an incredible drink.

- perfectly caramelized top, done with brown sugar and cinnamon

While caramelizing the top the cinnamon was giving off sparks!

Mmm...

Happy Chicken-Bunny Day Dinner

Tag-teamed with a Festivus BBQ dinner session.

Tonight we grilled up:

- roasted hearts of romain with a compote of heirloom tomatos, niman ranch bacon, gorgonzola, and candied walnuts

- sauted mushrooms with bacon reduction, onions and garlic

- grilled new york beef tenderloin accented with a dab of extra virgin olive oil and sea salt

- grilled tiger prawns semi-ceviche style with line and natural salts

Awesome chicken-bunny day dinner with the extended Marusich family.

Incredibly warm, sunny, absolutely beautiful day this afternoon. Figures about the weather, as today is happy chicken-bunny day.

It was celebrated with Dan, Kate and Sarah.

NorCal Jewish Deli

Outside of NY / LA it is hard to find great Jewish deli nosh.

Saul's is one venue you don't want to pass up while in NorCal.

Comfort food at its best!
